In a video released midday on January 31st, former President Donald J. Trump announced a bold plan to thwart the efforts of radical leftists and the Biden administration that enable the “chemical, physical, and emotional mutilation of our youth.” He emphasized a need to protect America’s children and uphold parental rights, promising to eliminate any government support for so-called “gender-affirming care.”
“On day one I will revoke Joe Biden’s cruel policies on so-called gender-affirming care. Ridiculous. A process that includes giving kids puberty blockers, mutating their physical appearance, and ultimately performing surgery on minor children,” according to The Post Millennial.
“I will sign a new executive order instructing every federal agency to cease all programs that promote the concept of sex and gender transition at any age,” the 2024 presidential candidate added.
Trump described his initiative as laid out in a press release on his campaign website. He said he would call upon lawmakers to prohibit “gender transition” procedures for children and revoke Medicare and Medicaid funds from any hospitals or medical providers by declaring them in violation of federal health and safety standards thus “terminating them immediately.” This action would terminate all taxpayer funding from being used to promote or pay for the procedures.
He further added he would support the creation of a private “right of action” for victims allowing them to “sue doctors who have unforgivably performed these procedures on children.”
Trump then explained he would direct the Department of Justice to investigate pharmaceutical companies and hospital networks “to determine whether they have deliberately covered up horrific long-term side effects of sex transitions in order to get rich at the expense of vulnerable patients. In this case VERY vulnerable.”
Turning toward schools, Trump added that the Department of Education under his next administration would dish out severe consequences to teachers and school districts who “suggest to a child that they could be trapped in the wrong body,” including potential civil rights charges for sex discrimination and the revocation of federal funding. He also called for the creation of a new credentialing body for teachers, promoting positive education about the nuclear family, the roles of mothers and fathers, and “celebrating rather than erasing the things that make men and women different and unique.”
