Following a South Carolina state House ceremony to announce his leadership team, former President Donald Trump visited a local restaurant.
Trump and an entourage of nine stopped at the restaurant Zesto of West Columbia, according to a report from The State.
The 45th president greeted staff and customers at the restaurant known for fried chicken, burgers and chocolate dipped ice cream cones, among other items. The report noted he posed for pictures while in the restaurant known for its ice cream. Zesto’s ice cream treat is reportedly so iconic a massive chocolate dipped cone statue towers above the 12th Street restaurant.
He was heard asking an employee if she recommended the food there as he headed to the counter to place a take-out order for 10. The counter worker replied, “Yes, sir,” according to the report. She reportedly documented her meeting Trump with her mobile device.
“Do you care if I pray for you?” she then asked the former president.
“Yes, go ahead, go ahead and do that,” the former president replied. He then held her hand with his right hand while placing his left on her right arm.

Politico correspondent Meridith McGraw reported in a Twitter post Trump selected a chocolate-dipped ice cream cone.
Trump tendered a $100 bill to pay for the to-go order of food and ice cream for 10, Zesto owner Anastasia Manos said Sunday, according to The State report.
The video quickly gained publicity on social media.
“That’s so awesome!” one Twitter poster commented. “That’s what we need, someone to pray over us someone to tell us that things will get better if we put our trust and faith in God! Bless this young woman for praying for our President.”
Other Twitter followers echoed similar sentiments about the former president being prayed over by the restaurant employee.
“God’s blessings pursue this ice cream worker for she is an Ambassador for Jesus Christ!!” another Twitter user commented. “She is in my prayers! Placing Psalm 91 over our President Trump & his family in Jesus Name Amen.”
