Nancy Pelosi Had An ‘Exorcism’ Performed On Her House Following Attack on Husband

On Saturday, the New York Times published an in-depth opinion piece on Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), the former Speaker of the House and decades-long congresswoman. Within the piece, Pelosi reportedly called upon priests to conduct an “exorcism” of her home following the attack on Paul Pelosi last year by a hammer-wielding intruder.

“The fact that they were after me and then they hit him,” Pelosi told the New York Times about her husband. “He’s a strong person, athletic. This has been tough. It’s going to be about three or four more months before he’s really back to normal.”

While Pelosi attempted to show a brave face, her daughter Alexandra Pelosi shined a light on the internal side of the household following the home invasion.

“I think that weighed really heavy on her soul. I think she felt really guilty,” the daughter said. “I think that really broke her. Over Thanksgiving, she had priests coming, trying to have an exorcism of the house and having prayer services.”

The pastor of Pelosi’s local church, St. Vincent de Paul Church Fr. Arturo Albano, told the New York Post that no such activities were conducted by his staff: “As far as I know, no exorcism or priest services were performed at her home.”

The attacker, 42-year-old David DePape, that sent 82-year-old Paul Pelosi to the hospital did considerable damage to the patriarch which “left him looking like Frankenstein” and with an “incapacitated hand.”

When asked if the attack affected Pelosi’s decision to step down as leader of the House Democrats, she stated that it was just an inevitability, as reported by The Daily Wire.

“I was probably going to go anyway,” Nancy Pelosi stated, adding, “say we won by 20 votes and it was a big thing, I might have stayed. It’s true that I had two thoughts in mind when I went to the floor, to stay or not to stay. It was time to move on.”

“If Hillary had won, I could have left. But I was not going to let Donald Trump have his way with the government,” she added emphasizing that she had to stand up against President Donald Trump.

While Nancy Pelosi is finally out of leadership, it is clear that the end of her tenure as Speaker of the House was filled with anxiety and worry following the attack on her husband’s life. Now that she is out of the spotlight, such threats will likely cease and the Pelosi will finally leave the American political scene.
