MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski has become the embodiment of the unhinged left. Recently, Democratic strategist James Carville remarked that his party has “too many preachy women,” and one can’t help but think he had someone like Mika in mind. As co-host of Morning Joe, she has turned into the face of a frantic, overly preachy left-wing perspective.
In a recent episode, Brzezinski—also known as Mrs. Scarborough—was practically begging her guests to explain how Vice President Kamala Harris could win over Republicans currently aligned with Trump. She didn’t stop there, launching into an assault on half the nation that supports Trump.
“Who are these people?” she asked in bewilderment. With a palpable sense of panic, she declared, “there is something wrong with those people.” Not holding back, Brzezinski directly condemned these voters, saying, “you are lying to yourselves… you will ruin the country… and it will be on YOU.” So much for engaging in respectful dialogue or striving for unity. (It’s hard not to think of her as more of a “scolding woman,” but I digress.)
While Brzezinski’s hysterical outbursts stand out, they are far from isolated. The left-wing media’s bias is increasingly transparent, with anti-Republican rhetoric intensifying. The campaign language has become more heated, and the media’s partisan agenda is growing bolder by the day.
In a breach of journalistic integrity, CBS even allowed Harris to change her response after fumbling a question. Meanwhile, former shock jock Howard Stern openly admitted his bias when he told Harris he was nervous because “I wanted to make you look good.” He went as far as to criticize Saturday Night Live for poking fun at Harris. (Coming from someone who gained fame through outrageous stunts, perhaps this isn’t surprising. But again, I digress.)
The 2024 election could very well see Trump return to the White House. While that’s not guaranteed, the mere thought has left the left-wing media and Democrats in a state of panic—particularly the radical left.
This reaction is not shocking. For some time now, I’ve predicted that as the election draws near, the language from the left would grow more extreme and hostile. What has actually unfolded, though, has been even more vicious and deceitful than I expected. Unfortunately, this rhetoric shows no signs of calming in the weeks ahead. As much as it seems like the left’s hyperbole has reached its peak, there’s always the potential for it to worsen.
One of the left’s biggest challenges is that they’re out of new strategies. They’ve already deployed all their talking points, repeating the same narratives that have fallen flat for months. Polls show these tactics haven’t worked, and there’s little evidence to suggest they will suddenly resonate with voters now.
So what’s left? Ramp up the ugly language, double down on the fear-mongering, and keep raising the stakes. In the coming weeks, I expect the left’s hyperbolic scare tactics to escalate even further.
Mika Brzezinski and others like her have lost their minds, their dignity, and their integrity, all due to an uncontrollable fear that Trump could once again win the presidency. The only question that remains is how much more deranged these individuals will become if he actually pulls off another victory.
