Trump Ready for Multiple Debates with Kamala Harris

Despite what the mainstream media might suggest, President Trump is unphased by Vice President Kamala Harris and has stated his willingness to engage in “multiple debates” with his new presumptive opponent.

Trump has expressed his readiness to debate Harris multiple times if she is officially nominated by the Democratic National Convention as their presidential candidate.

“I would be willing to do more than one debate, actually,” Trump mentioned during a call with reporters, following President Joe Biden’s surprising withdrawal from the election and his endorsement of Harris as his successor on the Democratic ticket.

“Yes, absolutely, I’d want to debate Harris,” Trump, the Republican nominee, confirmed.

“I think if you’re the Democratic nominee or Republican nominee, you really have an obligation to debate,” he asserted. “So, it’s very important,” said Trump, who was formally nominated last week, shortly after narrowly escaping an assassination attempt at a campaign rally in western Pennsylvania.

Trump had previously debated Biden on June 27, when Biden was still the presumptive Democratic nominee. Biden’s poor performance in that debate raised concerns about his mental fitness, leading to calls within the Democratic Party for him to step aside in favor of a stronger candidate. This ultimately resulted in Biden withdrawing and endorsing Harris.

A second debate between Trump and Biden had been scheduled for September 10, to be hosted by ABC. However, with Biden out of the race, Trump is now looking forward to his first debate with Harris.

“I’m not thrilled about ABC because of the fake news I watched last night,” Trump said. “They’re actually trying to make a hero out of Joe Biden when he was the worst president in history, and they were doing things like with Kamala, like what a wonderful thing that she is running.”

“I don’t like the idea of ABC.”

Trump also predicted that a debate against Harris would yield the same result as his debate against Biden.

“I want to debate her, and she’ll be no different because they have the same policies,” Trump stated.

In the meantime, Fox News executives have proposed hosting a presidential debate between Trump and Harris on September 17 in Pennsylvania. The network has reached out to both campaigns, suggesting anchors Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum as moderators, and expressed openness to negotiating the date, format, and location of the debate.
