In a town where the meaning of justice had been skewed by liberal policies, a group of patriotic bikers rallied to reclaim a soldier’s invaded home, drawing a line in the sand against rampant lawlessness.
A New Port Richey, Florida soldier found himself in a nightmarish predicament. After being stationed in Hawaii for two years, he discovered that his home had been taken over by two ex-convicts who refused to leave. Authorities claimed their hands were tied, but help came from an unexpected source.
The soldier, Army Specialist Michael Sharkey, was appalled to find that his house had been broken into, the locks changed and was now occupied by squatters Julio Ortiz and Fatima Cardosa. Police informed Sharkey that they couldn’t evict the couple since they had established residency while he was away, leaving him with no choice but to pursue the matter in civil court.
Ortiz claimed to have made a verbal agreement with a friend of Sharkey’s to live in the property rent-free in exchange for carrying out necessary repairs. However, Sharkey and his friend vehemently denied these allegations.
Expressing his frustration, Sharkey said, “The people that are in this house cannot produce any documentation, lease, agreement, anything that they belong in that house. They are criminals. I am serving my country, and they have more rights to my home than I do.”
With the authorities’ hands tied by the very policies they should be upholding, it seemed Sharkey had no recourse. That was until a group of patriotic bikers, many of whom were military veterans themselves, stepped in to help. Outraged by the injustice, they devised a plan to “peacefully make the squatters uncomfortable.”
Ortiz, a seasoned criminal who had spent 12 years in prison for various offenses, quickly realized the gravity of the situation. Fearing the bikers’ arrival, he and his girlfriend packed up and abandoned the property, proving they were nothing more than cowards.
The plight of Army Specialist Michael Sharkey highlights the growing imbalance in our society, where criminals are emboldened, and hard-working Americans like our soldiers are left to fend for themselves. It’s high time we push back against the liberal policies that encourage such lawlessness and prioritize the rights and welfare of those who put their lives on the line for our freedom.
Thankfully, the bikers took it upon themselves to defend the rights of a soldier who had devoted years to protecting the freedom and liberties we hold dear.
