Americans from New York are expressing their reactions to the former U.S. President Trump’s possible arrest and indictment by the Manhattan district attorney’s office on Tuesday.
A New York resident, Steve stated to Fox News:
“It’s about time that somebody arrested him.”
Another local, Brian, stated:
“I don’t get why we’re still trying to find this guy guilty of stuff.”
He added:
“It’s been seven years. Nothing’s gonna come of it. Let’s move on.”
On Saturday last week, on his Truth Social account Trump disclosed that he might get indicted or arrested on Tuesday under accusations of his 2016’s hush money scandal with an adult film actress Stormy Daniels.
Trump wrote:
“Now illegal leaks from a corrupt & highly political Manhattan district attorney’s office, which has allowed new records to be set in violent crime & whose leader is funded by George Soros, indicate that … the far & away leading republican candidate & former President of the United States of America, will be arrested on Tuesday of next week. Protest, take our nation back!”
Last week, an anonymous court individual informed Fox News that District Attorney Alvin Bragg appealed for a table talk with law enforcement agencies to “discuss logistics for some time next week, which would mean that they are anticipating an indictment next week.”
A native, Rick, informed Fox News:
“I don’t think it’s right. I don’t think they should be going after a president and arresting him.”
However, Gayle, a Trump supporter, opposed it. He stated:
“I think it’s great. It will give him more notoriety and his base will get even stronger.”
Warren expressed that Donald Trump “should get locked up.”
He informed Fox News:
“He’s broken laws and I just feel like if anybody else breaks laws they have to go to court. It doesn’t matter the stature of where he’s at. He should get locked up.”
