CNN’s senior media reporter Oliver Darcy released a report on CNN after Tucker Carlson announced on Tuesday that he is taking his program to Twitter.
The Fox News network canceled his show, “Tucker Carlson Tonight” on April 24, 2023.
Tucker announced the relaunch of his show in a video on his Twitter account which received 108 million views as of this writing.
Darcy, who once worked for the Daily Caller and The Blaze, both right-leaning organizations, has now become a spokesperson for the far-left agenda on CNN.
In his report, Darcy wrote:
Right-wing extremist Tucker Carlson announced Tuesday that he will relaunch his program on Twitter, which he praised as the only remaining large free-speech platform in the world after Fox News fired him late last month.
Carlson made the announcement in a video posted to the social media website, which Elon Musk acquired last year. Musk said Twitter did not sign an agreement with Carlson for his new show.
Twitter has devolved in recent months into a chaotic platform where the traditional press has come under assault from the billionaire.
Right-wing extremist? Chaotic platform? Traditional press under assault?
Leftists are just upset because Musk’s takeover of the platform has led to Republicans and conservatives being able to share their views without being censored or banned.
They’re also angry because they foolishly thought that Tucker’s removal from the Fox News primetime lineup was going to silence him as if there was nowhere else for Tucker to go.
The ladies on “The View,” Chuck Todd, and others celebrated a little too much as if this is the 1970s and Tucker was out of options.
Twitter users did not let CNN and Darcy’s labeling of Tucker as a right-wing extremist slide.
The post was ratioed with close to 29K comments currently compared to its 13K likes.
Some of the comments:
Viva Frei tweeted, “News network” @cnn refers to @TuckerCarlson as a “right-wing extremist”. No one will mourn you when you go under, CNN.
He later tweeted, “Tucker had more viewership on his last two videos that you’ve had all month.”
A Twitter user who goes by Gain of Fauci wrote, “Are you ready for him to destroy your entire network again on a daily basis? He only took a small break from doing this…”
Chris Rabideau @ChrisRab70 tweeted, “Right-wing ‘extremist’? To CNN, every conservative is an ‘extremist’ which is one of the things that makes you all FAKE NEWS.”
Sunshine State of Mind @foundinsunshine wrote, “‘Right-wing extremist,’ says left-wing extremist propaganda outlet.”
Tom Elliott, the founder of Grabien, tweeted, “CNN: ‘Right-wing extremist’ = anyone who doesn’t automatically believe whatever the Biden Admin tells us”
And one of the best takes, “Right on schedule. The left is losing their ever-loving minds because they know what him coming to Twitter means.”
In his announcement, Tucker highlighted Twitter as being the last big platform that allows free speech calling it “the fundamental pre-requisite for democracy.”
It’s why the Founding Fathers made it the 1st Amendment to our Constitution. Our constitutional republic will cease to exist without it.
