On Sunday, 45th President Donald Trump took to his social media, Truth Social, to blast President Biden for his failed leadership when dealing with the Chinese spy balloon that traversed the continental United States last week.
In addition, President Trump blasted the administration for claiming that the Chinese had done this previously during the Trump administration to which the 2024 candidate said that such claims were “JUST FAKE DISINFORMATION!”
“The Chinese Balloon situation is a disgrace, just like the Afghanistan horror show, and everything else surrounding the grossly incompetent Biden Administration,” the 45th president wrote. “They are only good at cheating in elections, and disinformation — and now they are putting out that a Balloon was put up by China during the Trump Administration, in order to take the ‘heat’ off the slow moving Biden fools.”
“China had too much respect for ‘TRUMP’ for this to have happened, and it NEVER did. JUST FAKE DISINFORMATION!” he added.
Many of Trump’s cabinet officials backed him with former Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe stating on Fox News that claims that a spy balloon flew over the United States during Trump’s presidency were false.
“It’s not true. I can refute it. Former Secretary of Defense Mark Esper refuted it yesterday. Former Secretary of State and CIA Director Mike Pompeo has refuted it,” Ratcliffe said. “The American people can refute it for themselves.”
“Do you remember during the Trump administration when photographers on the ground and commercial airline pilots were talking about a spy balloon over the United States that people could look up and see with the naked eye and a media that hated Donald Trump wasn’t reporting?” the former DNI asked, adding, “I don’t remember that either because it didn’t happen.”
“This was unprecedented. We have never had a circumstance where an adversary has had spycraft over our country, our continental United States, posing a threat for the better part of a week straight,” he explained. “And that’s why I said to you before, not only is it unprecedented but the damage of this is incalculable.”
“Both from an intelligence standpoint and the possible payloads. You talked earlier about the different types of payloads that a stratospheric balloon could carry,” the former Trump appointee remarked in the interview. “Those possibilities are only limited by your imagination. But what we do know is that none of those is possible to be deployed against the United States if a stratospheric balloon isn’t allowed to traipse across our countryside for four straight days. Something that has never happened before.”
With Trump’s appointees refuting the Biden administration’s claims, President Trump continued to blast the Democrat administration for its handling of the situation, emphasizing that such a scenario would never have happened under his presidency.
“Who sends a Billion Dollar blimp, with the most sophisticated equipment in the World, and large enough to hold ten cars or 3 large buses, into a complex pattern over the United States, without it quite possibly being manned, such as the ‘manned spacecraft?’” the 45th president wrote. “China should have been called to ask. If ‘no,’ shoot it down, if ‘yes,’ negotiate the greatest deal EVER!”
“The Chinese would never have floated the Blimp (“Balloon”) over the United States if I were President!!!” Trump said in a post to Truth Social.
As President Biden continues to humiliate the United States with his weak leadership and allows the Chinese government to humiliate America on the world stage, Trump provides a stark contrast. Under his presidency, Trump maintained peace through strength, a far cry from Biden’s weakness.
